Mizuno JPX923 Hot Metal Irons use a ‘Niche Flow Forging’ process – a single piece of 4120 steel that is forged into a thin, flexible face with a stabilized back. This creates the thinnest face ever from Mizuno (2.1mm) for huge ball speeds. A tungsten weight (17g) in the toe raises MOI without changing CG. These are Mizuno’s most forgiving and longest irons. The sound is a high‑pitched ‘ting’ due to the thin face. Stock shaft: True Temper XP 95. The Hot Metal series is ideal for mid to high handicappers. Despite the distance, stopping power is maintained with moderate spin. The sole grind prevents digging.
